Producers' Rate (Mixing Outsourcing)
With more and more artist popping as well as exponentially increasing access to great tools it seems like there is no shortage of new music and new 'producers.' This is great for music as an art form but it presents some problems. In times past, an engineer had to 'pay their dues' as a runner, then be a patch lackey, then they may earn the privileged of becoming an assistant engineer. If they were really lucky they would be taken under the wing of a real master and given after-hours access to great facilities in which to hone their skills. Only after many years of work and building relationships with artist could an engineer hope to earn a shot at the "producer" roll. But those days are quickly vanishing and so are the valuable skills and rooms associated with them.
On top of all this, a producer carries a lot of weight. They have to be so intimate with a project so they can make the needed creative calls. This often puts them in a position that limits their perspective on whats best, sonically, for the project. This is often referred to getting 'too close' to a project and you may hear people refer to bringing 'fresh ears' into a project for perspective.
We have an answer for this as well...
We want to partner with these modern producers and take a bit of the pressure off by giving that fresh ears perspective that is so crucial yet too often overlooked on projects.
James has the years of experience, having been in the industry for over 15 years and being mentored by some truly incredible engineers and producers. And the A Brave Mix mixing suite is design for pristine sonic results.
